You say goodbye, I say hello….

As seasoned architects to the birds, we at Specht Harpman have made the classic modern architecture maxim “bring the outside in” accessible to the bird phylum. With Barkitecture, your common tree-dwelling bird can unsuspectingly pass through a magical portal to go where no bird has gone before. Camouflaged on the outside as a bark-covered trunk, on the inside the camouflage is reversed, as mirrors give the bird the impression that they are outside again, in the company of hundreds of other birds!

Designed for Hello Birdie! a yearly gala for Uplift Austin, taking place on September 30th.

**Disclaimer: it is highly recommended that Barkitecture not be placed in a location where birds may have access to psychedelic mushrooms (such as rainforests or near the Burning Man festival). We cannot be responsible for any hallucinogenic interactions the birds may experience.
